This is what the weekend looks like at our house. Here is what these photos make me think:
I spend a lot of time cleaning, obviously. I mean, you can totally tell what a good housekeeper I am from that shot of our hallway.
Does my baby look a little bit like Yoda? Yes. Would that make a fabulous halloween costume? Also yes.
Jeff and I wear a lot of stripes.
All of Scarlette’s pants are high-waters because she is growing longer faster than she is growing wider. The combination of bulky cloth diapers further compounds this issue. Mostly she wears leggings so this is not a huge deal. In jeans, however, she looks like a little baby Urkle. Sorry, kiddo.
The Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain I bought a year ago was the best six bucks I ever spent on makeup. I confess to purchasing it on the recommendation of my very good close and personal friend, Taylor Swift.
I tried putting Coconut Oil in my hair over the weekend. It really did make it soft and shiny. Except I used too much the first go round and even after washing it out and blowing it dry, my hair was so oily it looked wet. Jeff told me I looked like an assassin with it all slicked back, like something out of the Matrix. Then he told me to go put on a hat before we went to dinner because he thought I looked crazy. It took three shampoos to get it soft and not look like the lost member of the T-Birds (Grease Lightning, go Grease Lightning.) Use sparingly.

Agreed! I love that Cover Girl lipstain. It worked so well, it kind of scared me how long it lasted. I put it on one afternoon, and I could not get it off for at least 24 hours. Anyway, Scarlette is just a cutie, no matter how her jeans fit
Oh, and I hear you on the coconut. I put on this Vaseline coconut oil after a shower one time, and I was slicked up like a stick of butter. But I smelled super yummy
Oh my god, she is so cute. @.@ A Yoda Halloween costume?! HECK YES!!! DO IT!!!
Also, you two… Are amazing. You can see the love for your baby girl in all your pictures. <3
Taylor Swift. <3
I had a Yoda baby too! His twin brother had a bear like quality that reminded me of Chewbacca. The price of buying 2 Star wars costumes for 3 month olds would have been a bit insane though, so alas, thew wore cheap Target sleeper costumes. They got over the heartache though.
She is so amazing. Seriously, I love looking at her cuteness and especially her little smirk, she’s all like “yeah, I won’t front, I’m pretty dang cute”
She is beautiful, she has the most amazing eyes. I know how proud you are of her. I love reading your blog, you have a real talent for writing. Love her, and thanks for sharing your story. I have 9year old triplets who were 6 weeks premature. You are my hero.
She does NOT look like Yoda! omg lol This made me laugh at my desk today…too funny.
Also, my son’s pants seem to do the same thing…I try to stuff as many shirts and onesies in it as I can, but it doesn’t really work.
I think you and your little yoda are seriously adorable! I have really enjoyed your blog lately (well, I’ve always enjoyed it…puts a smile on my face and sometime causes me to spit my coffee a little:))
We have the same issue with pants. I just tell people they’re capris and go with it! That’s so funny about the Yoda comment! Our little girl’s nickname is “Wookie” so I REALLY want a chewbacca costume for her for halloween. They could be a match set.
Yup, I totally have the same shirt as you.
She’s beautiful!
I think your baby is too cute to look like yoda; just saying.
Stop by my tea blog (that is finally back up anf going!) and see what award I nominated you for.

The only thing better than GETTING an award, is sharing it!
I’m going to have to disagree on the lipstain. It drys out my lips and flakes off in less than an hour.
She should totally go as Yoda, because my baby is going as Princess Leia. And… they can… hang out while… ToTing… from across the country… or something. Whatever. She should still go as Yoda.
1. I’m dying to see her as a baby yoda for halloween.
2. If I were magically thin tomorrow morning, I would so wear THAT exact shirt. LOVE it!
3. Have you tried the pants at Baby Gap? I got Ollie a pair and they are like fitted-tight but long. They make him look super cute (unlike all his other pants that make him look like he has junk in the trunk), the only downside is that they were really difficult to get on… but it was worth it.
Oh I forgot to mention that right now the number one costume for Ollie is an Ewock. So if we get together with Mary’s Leia, then I think we’ll have the most adorable photo known to man.
Oh she’s so cute!!! I can’t remember if you sew or not, but I did a tutorial for a simple Yoda costume last year

I don;t see Yoda, but I do see a baby trying to poop.
