I sort of threw this week together in a hurry so it’s not too fancy. Some pictures of Scarlette doing the motions to the “baby bumblebee” song, after naptime and a ton of doctor visits this week. I used some washi tape to adhere the smaller pictures so that I could lift them to write journaling underneath. And I got that “You Are My Sunshine” print from Elissa Hudson Illustrations this week so I took a photo of it to include in the album.
I left space on the back of this page so that I could include a round-up page documenting all of Scarlette’s 14 month milestones. I will put one of these in every month, with her height, weight, clothing size, etc. The most fun part of that page? Trying to get her hand print. I am never doing that again. Until next month.
I was hoping to get TWO hand prints but my child was all “PAINT! THERE IS PAINT ON MY HANDS! I MUST IMMEDIATELY WRIGGLE OUT OF YOUR GRASP AND SMEAR IT ON THE WALL!” and thus, that is why my page looks unbalanced. Because after cleaning paint off many, many surfaces in my living room I decided that hand prints are overrated, scrapbook design be darned.
This is a good way to get in all the photos that didn’t make the cut into my weekly pages. Also, some of them are blurred because I don’t believe in putting nakey baby pictures on the internets. I don’t love my pages this week but I do love that they are finished
Project Life In Progress: Title Page, Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 5
I’m linking up with Jess over at The Mom Creative today b/c I love seeing everyone’s pages. If you did week five, show it off to me!

OH what are you talking about I Love your week. Just seeing S do that little song you better STOP IT!! Love it… Another fun week. Love that picture of you giving the “Look” too funny! I love that hand print as well it will be so sweet to do it again next year and see how much she’s grown.
Amazing as usual. Especially seeing Scarlette doing the bumblebee song.
I saw on pinterest (where else?) that you can use a copy machine or scanner to capture their handprints mess free. Worth a try I guess.
A COPY MACHINE! I am never hand painting again! THANK YOU!
very cute! i love that she says all those words! I know some 14 month olds who can’t say a single word!
Scarlette is a total smarty-smart
baby bumblebee pictures? most adorable thing I have EVER seen. and also, i am now going around singing it LOL. i think this weeks pages may possibly be my favorites
(the stinkeye picture? totally blackmail worthy when she’s a senior in high school!)
Love the pages! Who needs fancy when you have that adorable baby?
Here’s mine! http://www.debalvarado.wordpress.com/2012/02/07/project-life-week-5/
To get a handprint:
1. fill up bathtub
2. move high chair into bathroom
3. put paint shirt over your clothing
4. strip wiggly child down to diaper
5. strap wiggly child into high chair
6. tape lots of paper over tray of high chair
7. paint child’s hand
8. quickly get one decent handprint
9. let child go to town painting the tray
10. take cute pictures for scrapbook
11. when child starts painting own face, remove child directly to bathtub
(seriously though, if you put a couple drops of dish soap in the paint, it’s easier to wash off of skin, walls, hair, etc. I used to work in the two-year-old room of a daycare)
Oh Girl…
I feel you on the hand print anxiety. I worked at a pottery painting place during college. Seemed like every Mom wanted a hand print on a plate for the grandparents. Don’t get me wrong – super cute idea. However quite difficult for the infant to toddler range. I always tried to talk them into foot prints instead (to little avail).
Anyway, the trick is to do it quickly. Put the paint in her hand, let her squeeze it or whatever for a second as soon as she opens her hand quickly press it onto the paper focusing on getting her fingers first. I would use one had to guide her wrist down and the other hand on top of her fingers so you quickly pin her fingers before she moves and smudges the print. Does that make sense?
Hope that helps. Feet are easier… MUCH easier!
looks awesome! love the stink eye
I simply adore your pages! Love how you use so many 3×4 cards and photos, that size just speaks to me! I’m totally inspired by your 14 month milestones insert/page. I have been thinking about doing a monthly insert for the little notes and photos that didn’t make the weekly layouts and you’re totally inspiring me to do it!
Another awesome week! I love that you’re doing an extra page for monthly Scarlette! That is so smart!
Her pictures are too cute. I feel your handprint pain. Nate makes a fist, and he somehow locks it too tightly for he-man to unclench.
Absolutely adore your insert for your little girl! So going to do this for my little girls now.. Have always written it down with no where to put it – why didn’t I think of PL for it?!! Duh!
Gorgeous work!!
Love your pages! Love the you are my sunshine thing and that page with the handprint and mini photos is fabulous. Your daughter is beatufiul and what a blessing. I posted my week 4 last night!
I haven’t done week 5 yet… I am slow

Your pages look great! Love that sunshine print for sure…totally precious. Love the little pictures on your date card as well as your self portrait. Also love how you included her 14 month milestones. Looks great! Thanks for sharing!
Coming from someone who has zero patience for scrapbooking (I’m a My Publisher girl all the way), you are my scrapbook HERO. I can’t believe how beautiful these pages are. Not sure if you consider them scrapbooking or works of art. Seriously! You are REALLY good at this.
