Last month we had “princess day” and dressed up Scarlette and my niece Nixie for a mini-photoshoot. I took them downtown to take their pictures. And by “downtown” I don’t mean Atlanta. I mean Main Street because we live in the c-o-u-n-t-r-y. Seriously, it takes me like, half an hour to get to Main Street.
Anyhow, Nixie spent the entire time saying “I’m Princess Giselle! Take my picture doing *insert princess activity here*” while Scarlette looked at me like “Seriously woman, don’t you take enough pictures of me at home? Now we’re doing this thing in public?”
I ordered the black & white one of the two of them on canvas for Father’s Day as a gift for my dad but I can’t decide which one I should get for myself. Which one would you pick?
*P.S. why yes that IS the same dress Scarlette wore on her first birthday party in NOVEMBER. The silver lining of having a very tiny, non-weight gaining child is that I get a LOT of wear out of her clothes!
**P.P.S. I like to call these “camera practice” the result of trying out some things I learned from Clickin’ Moms and my friend Kara’s online class The M- both very good for learning to use your camera in manual mode.

This is not going to help at all, but I don’t think I could ever decide. Those girls are absolutely beautiful. If your forced me I would probably say the top two of them seperately. Just gorgeous – and very impressed with your photography skillz.

I like the pose in b/w, although I would love to see it in color! It’s the only one where both girls seem focused in the same direction, and I love how Scarlette’s hand is resting on her cousin’s leg and her cousin is cool with it.
I’m with Jan C. on this one. Love the black and white one – they are both looking in the same direction, and I also love Scarlette’s little hand resting on her cousin’s leg.
The one of Nixie kissing Scarlette’s cheek. GET IT! it’s too adorable not to!
Your family makes beautiful babies. I second the black and white image.
That’s a tough one! All are beautiful in their own way.
I really like the one of Nixie giving Scarlette a kiss. It makes me smile.
KAYLA (said in my best whiney voice) – IWANNA SCRAP THESE!! I LOVE THEM!
Kissing cousins are really my most favourite.
