Sweet Deals | Week of February 12, 2012

Happy Week Of Valentine’s Day!

Here are some of the sweetest deals that I’m seeing around the web this week!
I’ll be updating this post to add new discounts and freebies as the week goes on.

Last Updated: 2/16

Parents Magazine Coupon CodeFor my fellow magazine lovers: Click here to get a subscription to PARENTS magazine for $3.50 with the code SAVINGS through Thursday, February 16. I get this magazine and it is my favorite of the parenting magazines.

(I also get American Baby and Baby Talk magazines – they are free to subscribe to. They are a lot thinner but often have good product recommendations and decent articles.)

tax tips for bloggersI bought this e-book “Your Blogging Business: Tax Talk & Tips from Bookkeeper Turned Blogger” on a recommendation from another blogger this week because I am doing our taxes. There is a TON of good information in here on doing your taxes for blogging and at $4.99 I will say it’s  now one of my top blogging recommendations. I’m editing my own blogging e-book to include it as one of my favorite blogging resources. It has great info on what you can count as expenses, budgeting, tracking, filing, etc. I think our accountant will be so happy when I give her everything so organized this year!

  • If you go to the Febreze Facebook page and click “Donate Now” they’ll send a free Set&Refresh + a care package of toiletries and magazines to one of our troops overseas. Free care package for a member of our military? Yes.
  • If you want to review a free copy of The Money Saving Mom’s Budget in audiobook form, click here to sign up on Crystal’s blog. That’s how I was able to review her hard copy of the book. I liked the book a lot and for those of you who are bloggers looking to get into reviews this would be a great starting place.

Also, I have some special deals from this month’s sponsors!

As always, some of these links are my affiliate links from companies who send me coupons and freebies to share with my readers. Others are not, they are just good deals I found online. All of them are from brands I’ve used and liked.

Sweet Deals | Week Of February 5th

Here are some of my favorite deals on the internets this week:

Updated 2.10.11

  • Totsy is a daily deal site offering really sweet deals on clothing, toys and accessories for babies and children (and sometimes mommies!) Today they have some great deals on toddler and kid books – some are under $2! I had a $15 credit so I just picked up a few board books w/CDs for Scarlette and a Tangled book for my niece’s upcoming birthday. There are some other cute things but I think the books are the best value right now.
  • You can send your friends an e-valentine with a promo code for a free Redbox rental on Valentine’s Day by going to the Redbox facebook page.  Ask a friend to send it to you so that you get the code as well. That way: free movie rental + Valentine’s Day = cheap date night. My husband will be happy. Until he sees that I’ve rented Breaking Dawn. Just kidding. He loves that movie.*

Here’s my favorite deal this week: you can get Alexia sweet potato fries for 84 cents at Target. They are on sale for $3.09 so print the coupon below for $1.25 off + this coupon on the Target website for $1 off. You can use both coupons which will make them $0.84. I love Alexia’s sweet potato fries, but I especially love their onion rings so I stocked our deep freeze :) They are also very healthy, until I deep fry them. I can’t help it, I’m southern.

*Jeff does not like Breaking Dawn. He’s going to roll his eyes at me for typing that.

**As always some links contain affiliates. Not all of them do, some good deals I find around the internet and some are sent to me from companies I like and signed up as an affiliate with. Please read my disclosure policy below if you have questions. xoxo

Sweet Deals | Week Of 1.22.12

Happy New Year! I mean, it’s been the new year for a few weeks now but this is the first deal round-up I’ve done for this month because I took a little time off after all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

Here are my favorite deals around the web this week!

Craftsy is a daily deal site that runs deep discounts on crafting supplies. That’s way better than a facial or skydiving package if you ask me. Partially because I would never jump out of a plane, but still. Awesome. Anyhow, you may have noticed them on my sidebar- they also host online crafting classes and right now they are offering a free video class each month.

Rewards Gold has a free year-long subscription to Martha Stewart Living magazine when you take their survey. I think I mentioned that I’ve done this one- mine was just a short survey about my preferences of breakfast foods. I did it a little over a month ago and have already started receiving the magazine! That is really quick!

Minted has an offer that lets you get 55 really cute valentine’s day cards for about $6 + free shipping. If you sign up through my referral link,  you get a $25 credit (you can use it towards anything but the cards are what are on sale right now) and then you can use the code BEMINE35 for the free shipping.

Walmart will email you a coupon code for 25 free 4×6 prints when you register for their photo developing. Usually every week SOMEONE is offering 10-20 free prints so I typically try to get a few pictures of Scarlette printed out whenever I come across one to stay on top of the printing.

Today only you can get a ShopRunner account for $1. ShopRunner is sort of like Amazon Prime- it gives you free 2-day shipping at a lot of different stores like American Eagle, Babies R Us, etc + it has exclusive discount/coupon codes for members. We have a membership because I managed to get one for free last year. It’s normally $79 and while I wouldn’t typically pay that for it just because we don’t shop quite often enough to justify it, it’s definitely worth it for a dollar. We used it a lot at Christmastime.  They are running the $1 special to benefit charity for the first 10,000 signups today.

That’s it, not a ton of great stuff this week but a couple things that are worthwhile!

*As always, I like to be transparent and want to note that some links contain affiliates. Not all of them do, some good deals I find around the internet and some are sent to me from companies I like and signed up as an affiliate with.

Sweet Deals | Holiday Cards

If you’re still planning on doing holiday cards this year, there is a good deal on shipping at Tiny Prints. On Monday and Tuesday you can use code FS5GIFT at Tiny Prints for Free Express Shipping (3 business days) or $5 off Super Rush Shipping (2 business days) Cards ordered on Monday with Express Shipping will arrive by 12/24. So even if your Christmas Cards turn into New Years Cards, at least you can check sending them off your list!

*affiliate link included.

  • Don’t forget that today is Free Shipping Friday! There are over 2500 stores participating! Ebates has a list of over 200 stores participating in Free Shipping Friday w/cash back. Here are some of my favorites:

    • Elle’s Studio has free shipping on all orders today, including international orders!
    • If you order someone an Amazon gift card, they’ll send it in a gift box with free one-day shipping
    • J. Crew has 30% off & free shipping w/ code CHEER + 4% cash back at Ebates
    • The Children’s Place has free shipping & 25 off your order with code N7F2011 + 2.5% cash back at Ebates
  •  Canvas People has a 16×20 photo canvas for just $37 including shipping. That’s the best price I’ve seen anywhere for a 16×20.They also have an 11×14 photo canvas for $27 including shipping. I used to work at a photography studio so trust me when I tell you that if the space you want to hang your canvas on is large, get the 16×20. For some reason the 11×14 looks large until you hang it on the wall and then it doesn’t look that much bigger than an 8×10. Unless you are going to frame your 11×14 with a large mat, you will want to spend the little bit extra on the larger size. Expires 11.15.11 Extended to 12.16.11
