This is a for-(meager)profit blog. That pretty much means that the ads on this blog? They make a little money.
I love writing and I am happy to host approved ads and affiliate links from vendors that I love here in order to pay for the webspace and contribute to our family’s finances.
Jeff and I live very frugally so that I can stay home and care for our daughter’s medical needs. While this blog used to provide a little extra so that Jeff and I could enjoy a random date night, now it literally buys our groceries/baby supplies and for that I am thankful and humbly grateful.
It is my utmost goal to be authentic and transparent in my writings and so here is what you can expect from me:
I will not: sell editorial space so please be assured that anything I’ve written is simply my own thoughts or opinions. This blog is a documentation of my life and I don’t want telling my story to be influenced by what someone else wants me to write about. I never accept sponsored reviews or posts that ask me to use marketing copy, I only accept offers that allow me to be creative and honest in my writing.
I will not: allow pop up or drop down ads or ads with lots of spinny flashy stuff. Those ads hurt my eyes.
I will: Only offer genuine reviews for companies that I think fit well with my values and can offer something of substance to my readers (see: HomeGoods gave one of my readers a $100 gift card!) These reviews/giveaways are clearly marked as such and housed on a portion of the site dedicated to product reviews and giveaways. I turn down many more review/giveaway offers than I accept in an effort to only offer high quality, honest reviews and giveaways here.
I will: be transparent about when I use an affiliate/referral link to endorse a product that I love. That means that sometimes when you click on a link and purchase a product I recommend, I might get some credit or make few cents. And then I might take those few cents and buy a breakfast burrito. Not really. I hate breakfast burritos. If an affiliate link is used it is because I’m recommending a product that I genuinely like, use and want to share (for example, a book I am reading).
( If you’re interested in learning how to use affiliate links to make a a little money off of your blog, I am all about sharing t knowledge! Click here to read an excerpt from my e-book all about how to earn extra money using affiliate links)
That being said, thank you for reading my blog! Here are the current ad companies/affiliates that I am using. I do my best to approve all ads prior them running on my site – please feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns! And again, thank you for blessing my family by reading here.
