It’s no secret that I am pale. I mean, for one thing, I mention it often. I tend to overshare. So the thing about bronzing powder is that it doesn’t usually work for me. It’s supposed to give you a “sun-kissed glow” but most of my attempts at it have ended up more like “rubbed-some-dirt-on-her-face” because, well, brushing tan-colored powder on vampire-esque white skin tends to have that effect.

Then I was introduced to illuminating bronzing powder and, sucker that I am for all things shimmery, I jumped on board thinking that the coveted “sun-kissed glow” was in my reach. Sadly, it eluded me once more. Only this time I sparkled.

So the only reason I agreed to review Sonia Kashuk’s new Illuminating Bronzer is because it is made by Sonia Kashuk, and I’ve never tried a product of hers that I didn’t like. And also because I am a glutton for punishment. But mostly because I am a big fan of Sonia Kashuk products. I remember reading about them in my Seventeen magazine and anxiously awaiting their debut at Target. I just really dated myself by admitting that to you. I’m about to be twenty-nine, y’all.
